Sexual Integrity Leaders Summit - Portland, OR

Church leaders are faced with serious challenges when it comes to sexual discipleship in the context of their church community. An approach filled with truth alone can create barriers that could stand in the way of people feeling that they can show up at your church. However, an approach filled with grace alone can keep people from the truth that will lead them to a flourishing life with Jesus. A theology of the body just might provide an answer that is winsome and yet doesn’t compromise Biblical truth. Together we’ll hear one another’s struggles, explore the key points of this teaching, and then learn from one another as we practice responding to common church scenarios in a way that is filled with both grace and truth.

Learning objectives:

1. Participants will be able to identify the challenges of sexual discipleship in churches.

2. Participants will be able to articulate a theology of the body in a way that is accessible and useful.

3. Participants will respond to common scenarios related to sexual discipleship in a way that is full of both grace and truth.

HOW DO YOU LIVE LIKE A CHRISTIAN, WHEN THE WORLD’S CHANGING SO QUICKLY?

How do you be a force for truth and love, when your loved ones don’t see what you see? It’s possible. But it will require a courageous faith. In this year’s conference, we’ll explore how to gain the kind of courage we need, and how to be agents of restoration in the very situations in which God has placed us. (from the CCNC website)

Sexual Integrity Leadership Summit 2024 - at Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs, CO

Jesus walked among and welcomed the wounded, confused, and lost people of his day. He also went out of his way to meet many that would otherwise never have known of his love.  SILS 2024 will focus on how pastors, ministry leaders, and clinicians can reach further into the culture to help those too afraid to step forward on their own. We will learn about and experience how to create a culture of encounter in our homes, churches, offices, and communities. (excerpt from SILS website)
